Luxury rehab in Mallorca.
Care that fits your life.
Explore outpatient care with VAYEMA and two different residential options on the island: THE BALANCE and COGNIFUL.
You may live in Mallorca, spend part of the year here, or be considering a stay specifically for treatment. Start with the support you need, then choose the setting that can provide it.

How to choose the best rehab in Mallorca
Start by distinguishing outpatient care while living on the island from an admission to a treatment residence. THE BALANCE and COGNIFUL both offer Mallorca residential settings, with different levels of shared daily life. Compare the actual clinical plan, privacy and follow-up: an island resident may continue locally, while a visitor needs care connected to home after departure. THE BALANCE’s Zurich option is a separate Swiss destination.
01 / Understanding your options
One island. Different levels of support.
Looking for rehab in Mallorca does not automatically mean moving into a residential program. Some people need individual therapy or psychiatric assessment while staying at home. Others need a coordinated outpatient schedule, or a residential setting that provides more structure and separation from everyday demands.
When alcohol or drug use overlaps with anxiety, low mood, trauma symptoms or sleep difficulties, describe the whole picture at assessment. The recommendation should explain the initial level of care, the professionals involved and the point at which the plan will be reviewed. A preference for a particular residence should not replace that assessment.
Living here versus traveling here for treatment
For island residents, consider the practical journey to appointments and whether the same clinician can continue follow-up. For visitors, clarify the length of stay, accommodation arrangements and where care will continue after departure. Staying in a hotel or private home while attending appointments is different from admission to a residential treatment program.
Mallorca is also called Majorca in English. Both names refer to the same island; they do not represent different treatment locations. Confirm the specific appointment address or residence rather than relying on an island-wide description.
02 / VAYEMA in Mallorca
Treatment alongside everyday life.
VAYEMA begins with assessment and care planning. Depending on your needs, the next step may be individual psychiatric or psychological appointments, coordinated intensive outpatient care, or support alongside professionals already involved in your treatment.
The team confirms the clinician, treatment language, appointment setting and availability before you book. A more intensive outpatient plan should explain its schedule, clinical lead, individual or group components and contact arrangements between sessions. More appointments alone do not make a coordinated program.
Family support and case management can help connect the practical parts of care. With your agreement, coordination may involve your existing doctor or therapist, a residential provider and the professionals who will provide follow-up. The role of each person should be clear.
Explore assessment, intensive outpatient care and continuing care and case management.
03 / Residential treatment in Mallorca
Your own residence.
Or your own space within one.
VAYEMA, THE BALANCE and COGNIFUL are part of THE BALANCE GROUP. These are affiliated care options with different residential formats, not an independent ranking. Both residential options below are in Mallorca, with admission based on clinical suitability and availability.
Mallorca · One-client residential care
THE BALANCE
A residence and treatment program dedicated to one client. The daily structure and relevant professional input are organized around an individual plan rather than a shared treatment household.
This is different from having a private bedroom in a larger facility. Discuss the residence, professional team, family arrangements and continuing-care plan directly before admission.
Mallorca · Maximum four clients
COGNIFUL
A private suite and individual treatment plan within a small shared residence. Psychotherapy is primarily individual, while meals, residential spaces and selected activities provide a shared daily experience.
The residence accommodates a maximum of four clients. A private suite does not mean exclusive use of the whole residence; discuss your preferences for privacy and shared living during assessment.
THE BALANCE also offers a residential option in Zurich. That is a separate Swiss destination, not another Mallorca location. The choice should reflect care needs and practical circumstances, not a presumed quality difference between destinations.
What should luxury rehab include?
Ask how privacy, accommodation and personal attention translate into the actual care plan. Who leads treatment? How much of the schedule is individual clinical work? What medical support is available, and what requires an external appointment? A beautiful setting should sit alongside clear answers.
Request a written proposal separating assessment, treatment, accommodation, supportive activities, coordination and additional medical expenses. Confirm the currency, cancellation terms and review arrangements. Do not assume that a private program or international stay qualifies for insurance reimbursement.
A next-stage plan, on the island or at home.
For someone staying in Mallorca, the next stage may involve fewer appointments and a return to normal routines. For someone leaving Spain, agree the receiving clinician and the first follow-up appointment before departure. An online appointment does not automatically resolve professional eligibility, prescribing or monitoring across countries.
With consent, a focused handover can connect the residential team, VAYEMA and existing professionals. Include the responsibilities that matter between appointments, not just a list of future sessions. Family involvement and administrative support should follow agreed information-sharing boundaries.
Is residential treatment always necessary?
No. Assessment may recommend outpatient treatment or another appropriate service. Luxury describes aspects of the setting and experience; it does not determine the level of care you need.
What if withdrawal management or urgent care is needed?
Seek an appropriate local medical assessment. Outpatient treatment and residential accommodation should not be assumed to include medically managed withdrawal or emergency hospital care. Do not delay urgent help while arranging a routine appointment or travel.
Compare treatment for your specific concern in Mallorca
Choosing the island does not settle which clinical program you need. For depression or anxiety, ask which professional leads assessment, what therapy or psychiatric input is proposed and how the schedule fits your day-to-day functioning. For PTSD and trauma, confirm relevant expertise, the proposed therapeutic approach and support between appointments.
When comparing alcohol rehab or other addiction treatment, establish the medical assessment and any care required before residential admission. An outpatient appointment, a private residence and medical withdrawal management are different services. Where substance use and mental health overlap, ask how the clinical plan is coordinated.
THE BALANCE and COGNIFUL are both residential options in Mallorca, with different living formats and individually assessed suitability. VAYEMA’s local professional, appointment setting and scope are confirmed before booking. For island residents, plan follow-up from home; for visitors, identify the receiving clinician after leaving Spain. The condition guides compare relevant treatment questions without implying that every method or specialist is available in every program.
Compare your choices
The right level of care.
Then the right place.
A useful comparison starts with what happens during treatment and between appointments. Ask a qualified clinician which setting can meet your needs before comparing residences, travel or hospitality. The following describes care formats, not a promise that every format is available through every provider.
Individual outpatient care
You attend scheduled appointments while living outside a treatment residence. Ask about session frequency, the purpose of therapy or psychiatric input, and what to do between appointments. Separate accommodation is not itself a residential treatment program.
Intensive outpatient care
A coordinated schedule provides more treatment contact without an overnight admission. Request actual hours, individual and group components, review dates and the clinical lead. Ask how your home circumstances and travel to appointments affect suitability.
Residential treatment
You stay in a treatment setting. Compare the clinical schedule, overnight staffing, shared living, privacy and arrangements for outside medical care. A private suite and a residence dedicated to one client offer different living experiences.
Medical or hospital care
Some needs require medically directed inpatient treatment or urgent assessment. Do not assume that a residential address includes these capabilities. Withdrawal management, ongoing addiction treatment and accommodation should be discussed as distinct parts of a care plan.
The NIAAA guide to treatment settings provides background on these distinctions. An assessment determines the appropriate starting point; this comparison is not a self-assessment tool.
Alcohol, drug use and mental health: describe the whole picture
Alcohol or drug concerns may occur alongside depression, anxiety or other mental health difficulties. A coordinated assessment helps clarify which concerns need attention together. Tell the clinician about prescribed medicines, previous treatment, physical health and changes in sleep or daily functioning. The NIMH guide to co-occurring conditions explains why both substance use and mental health deserve attention.
You can use VAYEMA’s alcohol-use guide, depression guide and trauma and PTSD guide to prepare questions. A topic guide is not confirmation that a particular program can manage your full clinical needs.
From a question to a plan
What should happen before you commit?
Clarify the question
Explain what has changed, where you are based and what you want help understanding. Ask how to share relevant records securely. A first inquiry can cover practical questions without committing to treatment.
Understand the recommendation
Ask who conducts the assessment, what it includes and why the proposed level of care fits. A recommendation may involve local treatment, a residential option or another provider.
Agree the details
Confirm the treating professionals, actual setting, schedule, treatment language, fees and review date. For residential care, admission and any travel arrangements should be agreed before departure.
Connect the next stage
Name the receiving clinician, follow-up appointments and medication responsibilities. Agree how progress and changing needs will be reviewed, rather than leaving continuing care until the last day.
Ask for a proposal you can actually compare
Request separate details for clinical appointments, accommodation, coordination, outside medical care and optional services. Check what changes the fee, how cancellations or early departure are handled, and whether follow-up is included. Compare the same time period and inclusions rather than an isolated nightly rate or an advertised starting price.
Agree meaningful goals, such as the difficulties you want to address and the routines you want to regain. Ask who reviews those goals with you and how the plan changes when it is not helping enough. Facilities, credentials and high prices alone are not outcome guarantees.

Mallorca / Frequently asked questions
Questions about luxury rehab in Mallorca
For island residents, a useful comparison starts with daily life here. For visitors, it must also cover what happens after leaving Spain. These questions help separate those two decisions.
What is the best rehab in Mallorca for my needs?
Start with the appropriate level of care. VAYEMA outpatient arrangements may fit someone staying at home; a residential assessment may instead support THE BALANCE’s dedicated residence or COGNIFUL’s private suite in a maximum-four-client setting. Both featured residential formats are available in Mallorca, subject to suitability and availability. Compare the clinical plan and daily experience, not accommodation alone.
Can I receive outpatient treatment while living at home in Mallorca?
Potentially, when assessment supports that level of care and an appropriate service is available. VAYEMA can discuss individual appointments and coordinated outpatient arrangements. Confirm the clinician, appointment location and schedule before planning around them. Living in a hotel or private villa and attending sessions remains different from admission to a residential program.
How do THE BALANCE and COGNIFUL differ on the island?
THE BALANCE offers a residence and program dedicated to one client. COGNIFUL offers a private suite and personal treatment plan within a shared residence for a maximum of four clients. Both are Mallorca residential options, but the amount of shared daily life differs. Discuss your clinical needs and privacy preferences rather than choosing solely by accommodation.
Are rehab in Majorca and rehab in Mallorca the same search?
Yes, the names refer to the same island. They do not identify different programs or levels of care. Check the actual practice or residence address, the treating provider and the follow-up arrangements. There is no need to compare two otherwise identical offers simply because one uses the Majorca spelling.
How much does luxury rehab in Mallorca cost?
There is no single price covering VAYEMA outpatient care, a dedicated residence and a small shared residential program. Request a written proposal for the recommended format and period, with clinical appointments, accommodation, coordination and outside medical expenses identified. Ask whether continuing care after your stay is included or quoted separately.
Can I arrange a short treatment stay around a vacation?
Discuss the dates, but do not assume that a vacation timetable is sufficient for the care you need. An initial assessment may lead to a limited consultation, a longer plan or treatment nearer home. Agree the clinical purpose, review point and next appointments before booking travel; an attractive destination should not determine treatment duration.
Can treatment and family meetings be in English?
Ask for confirmation with the professionals involved. English-language admissions information does not establish the language available for every therapy session, medical appointment or report. Families with different language preferences should discuss those needs early, including how information will be shared with a clinician outside Spain after treatment.
Can my local Mallorca doctor remain involved?
That can be discussed with your consent. Clarify whether the existing doctor will continue prescribing or physical-health monitoring, which responsibilities move to the treatment team and who receives the discharge summary. Effective existing care need not be replaced simply because you add therapy, an outpatient program or a residential stay.
What should be arranged before I leave Mallorca?
Identify the professional and first appointment in the place you are returning to, any medication or monitoring needs, and the records that should be shared. VAYEMA continuing-care coordination can be discussed where available. A video appointment alone does not establish that every clinical responsibility can continue unchanged across countries.
Find your next step in Mallorca.
Discuss outpatient care, a residential stay or continuing care without committing to a treatment package before your needs are understood.
