Outpatient care
Individual Treatment
Individual care gives you space to be heard and work through what is difficult with the right professional. We begin with an assessment, then agree a focus and pace that reflect your needs and circumstances.

Care that fits your life
Three ways to meet. One considered care plan.
Sessions can be provided online, in person at a therapist’s practice or a VAYEMA location, or at your home on request. We agree the appropriate setting with you as part of assessment and care planning.
01 / ONLINE
Where you are
Video appointments for suitable consultations and ongoing therapy. We confirm the clinician, privacy arrangements and whether remote care can be provided where you will be during the session.
02 / IN PERSON
A dedicated space
Meet at the therapist’s consulting rooms or a VAYEMA location. Your appointment confirmation identifies the professional, address and practical details before you attend.
03 / AT HOME
Support that comes to you
Home visits are arranged on demand, where clinically appropriate and available locally. We discuss the setting, privacy, clinician availability and any travel costs before confirming a visit.
You can tell us your preference when you enquire. Not every service or professional is available in every format. A format may change as your needs change; assessment establishes what is appropriate.
Care that fits the person, not a fixed package
Individual outpatient treatment allows you to receive professional support while remaining connected to everyday life. Your plan may involve one clinician or a small team, depending on what the assessment identifies. More appointments and more disciplines are not assumed to be better; each recommendation needs a purpose.
You might be working through a specific concern, managing an existing diagnosis, returning to treatment or looking for consistent support through a difficult period. Together, we clarify the goals, choose an appropriate approach and agree how progress and the fit of the treatment will be reviewed.
Psychiatry and psychological therapy at the core
Psychological therapy offers a structured relationship in which to explore thoughts, emotions, patterns of behavior, relationships and life experiences. The approach depends on your needs and the practitioner’s training. Psychiatric input may address diagnostic questions, medical treatment or medication review where indicated.
These roles can work together without being interchangeable. We explain who is responsible for which aspects of care, what communication is useful and how your preferences will be considered. You can explore professional profiles and express a preference without having to decide your own diagnosis or assemble a team.
An agreed sequence of sessions
After assessment, the recommendation sets out a starting frequency, the expected focus and an initial review point. Sessions may be arranged individually or as an agreed series. Any package is an administrative arrangement that follows the clinical plan; it is not a reason to continue an approach that is no longer useful.
Before committing, you should understand the fees, what is included, cancellation arrangements and any terms for unused sessions. Changes in frequency or professional input are discussed with you, including their practical and financial implications.
Support beyond the therapy room
Where appropriate, integrative support may address physical health, nutrition, movement, sleep or daily routines. The clinician explains the intended role, limitations and review arrangements. Supporting services are not a substitute for indicated psychiatric or psychological treatment.
If several providers are involved, case management can help organize communication and follow-through. Existing doctors or therapists can remain part of the plan with your agreement. Formal case management is not necessary for everyone.
Reviewing the next step
Review considers your experience, goals, functioning and whether the current approach remains appropriate. The next step may be continuing, adjusting the focus, reducing support or considering a more intensive setting. When needs exceed what ordinary outpatient sessions can safely provide, we explain other options rather than simply adding appointments.
